He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Bryson Abbott and Mayme Irene (Bussard); his wife Marie Spurr Chaney; and his siblings, Lloyd, Emery, John, Bob, Bill, Mary Lou Graham, Helen Davis and Dorothy Abbott.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Mary McKinney of Zion. He is also survived by many great nieces; great nephews; other extended relatives and many dear friends.
