He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Joseph Ripperger and Margaret Henrietta Ripperger (Mullica); his sisters, Marla Diana and Beverly; his parents-in-law, L. LeRoy and Ruth Griffin; and his grandson Memphis Ripperger.
He is survived by: his wife Retta Ripperger of Afton; his children, David Ripperger (Carrie O'Connor) of Dubuque, Dannel Ripperger (Shelby) of Lorimor, Dwain Ripperger of Murray, Nickolas Ripperger (Myklyn) of Lorimor, Dennetta Groomes (Andrew) of Des Moines and Nathan Ripperger (Christine) of Dubuque; his siblings, Carolyn Hubatka of Afton, Barbara Mathews (Scott) of Fallon, NV, Michael Ripperger (Karen Sue) of Creston, Mark Ripperger (Penny) of Thayer and Timothy Ripperger of Glenwood; and his brother-in-law Don Keimig of Virginia. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
Family asks that you come to either the visitation or the Mass, because of space limitations due to Covid-19.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the St. Edward's Catholic Church or the Muscle Mat Club at East Union.
