He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Eklund and Esther Eklund; his brother Ralph; his grandson Sidney; his parents-in-law, Don and Gladys Tyler; and his brother-in-law Winston Tyler.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Tyler of Lenox; his children, Christina Walters (Gary) of Cumming, Peter Eklund (NE) of Lincoln, Andrew Eklund (Australia) of Sydney, Suzanne Sheeder (Mike) of Menlo and Andy; and his grandson Peter.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Salem Lutheran Church &/or the Creston Elks Lodge.
