She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Alvin Arnold and Gladys Elvira Arnold (Smith); her husband Gerald William Nixon; her siblings, Lois Larson and Sandy Arnold; her grandson Kirk Nixon; and her nephew Jimmy Arnold.
She is survived by: her children, Bob Nixon (Dina) of Woodburn, Dixie Schomer (Dan) of Ankeny and Barbara McIntire (Jack) of Afton; her grandchildren, Scott Nixon (Kristie) of Afton, Amy Lininger (Steve) of Spring Hill, Tenn, Jodi Nixon of Afton, Aaron Schomer (Amy) of Ankeny, Phil Schomer (Angie) of Ankeny, Jason Schomer of Ankeny, Shawn Allen (Donna) of Afton and Kevin Allen (Nick Allen) of Winterset; her great grandchildren, Gabe, Grace, Gwen Nixon, Macy, Cass, Jack Lininger, David Schomer (Sami), Katie, Kyle, Brianna Schomer, Nolan, Brendan, AnnaLee, Dillan Schomer, Hayden, Kinnick Schomer, Casey, Chase Allen, Addie and Griffin Allen; her great great grandchild Ace Schomer; her brother Robert Arnold (Patsy) of Shannon City; and her brother-in-law Vernon Nixon of Omaha. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Social distancing will be observed and masks are recommended.
