He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Hanlon and Mary Hanlon (Andrews); his wife Dorene Hirschberg; and his siblings, Lawrence, Francis, Bernard, Jerry and Mary Ellen Putnam.
He is survived by: his daughters, Renee Spratt (Bill) of Elkhart, Michele Hanlon of Des Moines, Lisa Mickelson (Mark) of Ankeny, Christine Tranel (Dean) of Madrid, Bridget Jaegers (George) of Grimes and Andrea Patitz (Matt) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Kylie Lara (Alberto), Emily Calvert (Jared), Hailey Mickelson, Elizabeth Tranel, Collin Spratt, Josie, Vivi Patitz, Kelsey and Ian Jaegers; and his great grandchildren, Zeke and Eli Lara.
