She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Aart Schulenklopper and Nellie Schulenklopper; her husband Marvin L. Gearhart; her children, Darren, Jolie Lee of Johnston, IA and Matthew Gearhart of Adel, IA; her sisters, Wilma Postma (Postma) of Newton and Cora Vander Heiden (Vander Heiden) of Sun City, FL; her sisters-in-law, Jane Wolf and Marsha Gearhart of Newton, IA; her grandchildren, Emily Benedict (Chad) of Newton, IA, Trevor Gearhart of Newton, IA, Nicholas Lee (Hannah) of Plymouth, MN, Hannah Metzger (Brett) of Columbia, MO and Landon Gearhart of Newton, IA.; her great grandchildren, Harper Benedict of Newton, IA and Kimber Gearhart of Newton, IA; her brothers-in-law, Henry Vander Heiden Jr. and John Postma; and her son-in-law John Lee. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newton Church (2306 S 3rd Ave E, Newton, IA 50208). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends From Iowa El Salvador Foundation, in honor of her compassionate and caring spirit.
