Karen left this world on July 18, 2024 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Knute Nelson and Frances Nelson; her significant other Edward Eugene; and her sister Bonnie Rausch. She is survived by: her children, Steven Sweeney, Cynthia Kinney (John), Robert Sweeney (Clarissa), Kelly Wade (David) and Karrie Tate (Greg); and her grandchildren, Aaron Sweeney, Aidan Sweeny, Blake Kinney, Anissa Kinney, Even Everman and Lexi Everman. She is also survived by her five siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
After retirement, she was active in a number of volunteer activities, including RSVP, Catholic Daughters, among others.
