He was predeceased by: his father Walter Gettler; his brother Dennis; and his grandson Cade Gettler. He is survived by: his mother Elaine Gettler (Wedemeyer); his former wife Carolyn Huffman; his wife Mary Kingery; his children, Brandy Kingery (Paula), Matthew Gettler (Brandy), Michael Gettler, Heather Watson (Tracey), Marcie Stiles (Dan) and Melanie; his grandchildren, Corbin, Caden Kingery, Emily Wittrock (Josh), Madison, Wyatt, Walker Gettler, Grayson, Gatlin Gettler, Alissa, Ryan, Konnar Stiles, Maddox and Myles Kunkel; and his siblings, Karen Grant (Jim), Don (Derinda), Delmar (Marie), Dean (Sharon), Daryl (Sherry), Dave (Kristen), Walter Jr. (Valerie) and Jesse Gettler (Lisa). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
