Wendell J. Dittmer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wendell J. Dittmer of Ackworth, Iowa, who passed away on July 27, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dittmer and Margaret Dittmer (Schurman); his former wife Virginia Putz; his brothers, Franklin and Mike Dittmer; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Sternquist, Dick Burnett, Larry McMullin and Marilyn Dittmer.
He is survived by: his stepgrandchild Shannon; his wife Vicki Bennett; his children, Craig Dittmer (Dena), Shaun Bennett (Amy), Jennifer Baughman (Brent) and Shannon Hahn (Adam); his grandchildren, Keith, Derek, Grace Dittmer, Ross, Trey, Kade Baughman, Gianna, Kalaya Bennett, Madyn and Reese Hahn; his siblings, Germain Dittmer (Mary Ellen), Matt Dittmer (Becky), Lola Sternquist, Mary Hartogh (Leon), Deloris Van Ryswyk (Don), Bobbie Burnett, Ruby Moon (Neil) and Marjorie Worley (Steve); and his siblings-in-law, Steve Bump (JoAnn), Mark Putz (Janna), Charlotte Dittmer, Jolene Dittmer, Janet Hartz (Steve) and Kathy McMulin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Wendell's memory to Lacona Beautification Society, Pink Tractor Foundation, or EveryStep Hospice.
