He was predeceased by: his parents, George Klahsen and Emma Klahsen (Harms); his parents-in-law, Daniel and Elfrieda Miller; his siblings, James Klahsen and Audrey Heitland; his siblings-in-law, Bill Heffelmeier, Alvin Heitland, Larry Ehrig, Darwin Miller and Margery Miller; and his great grandchild Autumn Klahsen.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Klahsen; his sons, Rick Klahsen (Jane), Mike Klahsen (Julie) and Tory Klahsen (Jackie); his grandchildren, Jared Klahsen (Amanda), Kade Klahsen (Megan Wackerfuss), Luke Klahsen (Jessica), Jacob Klahsen (Crystal), Matthew Klahsen (Erin), Nathan Klahsen and Zachary Klahsen (Seyann Luhring); his great grandchildren, Haley Klahsen-Saari (Will), Ethan Klahsen, Collin Asfeld, Kaya Klahsen, James Klahsen, Savannah Klahsen, Evelynn Klahsen, Elise Klahsen, Emelia Klahsen, Lindy Klahsen, Max Klahsen and Isla Klahsen; his siblings, Carol Feikes (Louie), Irvin Klahsen (Marlene), Ester Heffelmeier, Elaine Conkel (Steve Mohr) and Linda Hankes (Dennis); and his siblings-in-law, Joan Ehrig and Scot Miller.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 917 Howard St, Aplington, IA 50604. A funeral service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Aplington Evangelical Presbyterian Church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
