She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Arends and Nancie Arends (Ulfers); her husband Bernard Viet; her brother Byron; her sister-in-law Everdena Arends; and her brothers, Merle (Wilma Schultz), Irvin (Frances Flessner), Delmer (Jennie Mae Janssen), Hilko Viet, Edwin (Marlys Arends) and Ron Dickes.
She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Esther Dickes of Hoffman Estates and Bernice Viet of Ackley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
