He was loved and cherished by many people including: his family Century Farm; his parents, Marvin Charles Hirth and Norma Jane Harned; his close friend Deb Fowler of Denver; his children, Jayni Scott (Caleb) of Grundy Center and Mitch Hirth (Michele) of Geneva, Iowa; his stepchildren, Mike Cockerham (Sara) of Ames and Jackie Grieves of Marshalltown, Iowa; his grandchildren, Judson Scott, Colbie Scott, Lexi Hirth and Noah Hirth; his stepgrandchildren, Elvis Calvert, Aryan Calvert, Ali Cockerham, Kegan Jass, Kanin Jass and Gage Grieves; his sister Connie Maifeld (Roger); his wife Jean Hirth; and his parents-in-law, Carroll and Charlotte Heard. He was also cherished by 3 step-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hampton - Woodley Funeral Home (306 Central Ave E, Hampton, IA 50441). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. John's United Church of Christ (716 3rd Ave, Ackley, IA 50601).
