He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Scallon and Marie Scallon (Nicholas); and his brother Hughie. He is survived by: his children, Dan Scallon (Kim) of Ackley and Teri Dhein (Jeremey) of Downers Grove; and his siblings, Anntonett DeHart, Cele Scallon and Pat Scallon. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sietsema Funeral Home (501 10th Ave, Ackley, IA 50601). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church - Ackley (611 Sherman Ave, Ackley, IA 50601).
