He was predeceased by: his parents, Theo Chamness and Evelyn Chamness (Tindall); his wife Marcia Ahrens; and his brother Bill Chamness. He is survived by: his children, Kevan Chamness of Highlands Ranch, Terri Hammes (Ted) of Story City and Mark Chamness (Michelle) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; his grandchildren, Benjamin Hammes (Morgan), Sam Hammes (Rebecca), Zeb Hammes (Lindsey Bruns) and Amanda Chamness; and his great grandchildren, Henry and Maxwell Hammes.
