He is survived by: his children, Hilari Akau (Richard) of Hilo, Arnold Akau Jr. (Tammie) of Kawaihae and Mia Akau-LaClair (William) of Waimea. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers, sisters, family and friends.
