He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret A. Young; and his children, Buddy James Young and Charlene McKeague. He is survived by: his children, Annette Young-Ogata (Patrick), Derrick Young (Jane) and Jaime Yuisano (Ondre); and his siblings, Song Hee "Elaine" Woo, Rose Marie Young and Ming Hee "Joseph" Young.
