She was predeceased by: her husband James Setsuo Kaya; her parents, Yasukichi Yamada and Tatsuyo Yamada; and her siblings, Ricky, Tommy and Chiyoko.
She is survived by: her children, Clayton Kaya (Kyohee), Yolanda Mandawe (Larry) and Leola Kaya; her stepson Wesley Apo (Pre); her sister Juanita Nagata; her grandchildren, Lia Enomoto, Elyse Hong (Keoki) and Casey Kaya; and her great grandchild Kaiya Hong.
