She is survived by: her husband Thomas; her children, Eli "Kalani" L. Ku, Jr. of Wailuku, Hawaii and Alice "Nalani" Velez (Jay) of Kawanui; and her siblings, Solomon N. Akau Jr. of Kaneohe, Hawaii and Diane P. Hillen of Kawaihae, Hawaii. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins nieces, nephews, and brother and sister-in-laws as well as hanai children and hanai grandchildren.
