It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David John Hartness of Volcano, Hawaii, born in Oswego, New York, who passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Shizuko Hartness of Volcano; his mother Gladys Hartness of Honolulu, Oahu; and his sisters, Linda Hewitt of Mililani, Dianne Barrett (Bruce) of Honolulu, Paula Platt (Allen) of Arizona and Karen Francesco (Kevin) of North Pole, Alaska. He is also survived by numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
