Roy Akira Otani Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Akira Otani of Pukalani, Hawaii, born in Wailuku, Hawaii, who passed away on February 1, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his children, Roy "Matthew" Akira Otani Jr., Demaries "Dee-Dee" Otani (William Kekona) and Chiamei "Amy" Salcedo (Roland Salcedo); and his grandchildren, Cymberlyn, Matthew Boy, Matt, Tyree, Stanelle, Jordyn, Tehya, Jonah, Bri-Ann, Shyla-Ann, Shanice, Kalub, Cyrilla, Mark, Boy, Micah and Katelyn. He is also survived by 40 great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the King's Cathedral (777 Maui Veterans Hwy, Kahului, HI 96732). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Maui Veterans Cemetery (3361 Baldwin Ave, Makawao, HI 96768).
