Yaeko is survived by: sons, Clayton Miyashiro, Byron Miyashiro, Craig Miyashiro (Ruth), Randal Miyashiro of Pepeekeo, Tracy Miyashiro (Laura Tobosa) of Hilo and Darrell Miyashiro (Yvette Hata) of Kurtistown; siblings, Robert Kitano (Tomiko) of Honolulu and Sakae Higa of Honolulu; siblings-in-law, Hideo Hamada of Pepeekeo, Sharon Kitano and Patsy Miyashiro of Honolulu; and grandson Kypp Miyashiro. Yaeko is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
