He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Evelyn M. Pavao of Hilo, HI; his children, Joseph Pavao, Jr. (Cory) of Kea'au, HI, Steven Pavao (Meredyth Canario) of Waikoloa, HI, Daniel Pavao, Sr. (Angeline Paglinawan) of Pepe, Laurie Pavao of Kea'au, HI and Jennifer Arquitola (James) of Kea'au, HI; and his sister-in-law Angeline Pavao of Hilo, HI. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
