It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Pelekane Konanui Sr. of Pahoa, Hawaii, born in Papaikou, Hawaii, who passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy William Pelekane leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though William Pelekane may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He is survived by: his children, Carrie Konanui (Lloyd Tagalicod) of Pahoa, Wendal Konanui (Ronnie) of Pahoa and Helena Waiwaiole (Levi); and his sister Myra Auna of Honokaa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Dodo Mortuary Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
