He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Saruwatari of Hilo and Iris Handa (Robert) of Colorado; and his siblings, Yorio Onishi (Yasuko) of Hilo and Sueko Yorita of Hilo. He is also survived by three grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
