It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evonne Mahealani Shioshita of Pahoa, Hawaii, born in Honolulu, Hawaii, who passed away on January 26, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Robert H. Shioshita of Pahoa; her children, Russell Shioshita of Pahoa and Jadelyn Shioshita-Aiona (Joseph); her siblings, Carol Tinay (Larry), Audrey Abraham of Honolulu and George Laikupu (Kamuela) of Waimea; and her siblings-in-law, Charlene Laikupu of Waianae, Oahu and James Ige of Honolulu. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
