He is survived by: his children, Ernest Ruiz, Jr. of Pahoa, Ricky G. Ruiz (Sandra) of Honolulu, Marlinda J. Ruiz of Pahoa and Michele N. Ruiz of Hayward, California; and his daughter-in-law Judy Ruiz of Honolulu. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
