He is survived by: his children, Elijah Yamamoto of Kapaau, Dylan Gomes of Kamuela, Dereck Gomes of Kamuela and Devon Gomes of Kamuela; his mother Mary Lou Maertens of Pahoa; and his brother Dominic Gomes of Pahoa.
