With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Chishiko Takata of Pahala, Hawaii, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 28, 2024 at the age of 101. She is survived by: her sons, Steven Mun-Takata (Natalie) of Honolulu, Burt Takata (Roslyn) of Keaau and Terry Takata (Margo) of Kona; her siblings, George Danbara of Honolulu and Shian Saito of California; and her son-in-law George Smith, III of Texas. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Dodo Mortuary Chapel (199 Wainaku St, Hilo, HI 96720). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
