She was predeceased by: her child Benito Fernandez; and her husband Christino Navalta. She is survived by: her children, Paciencia Fernandez (Quinan), Nida Padilla (Al), Nanette Nehls (Paul), Wendell Navalta (Paige) and Jennifer Betz (Mike); and her siblings, Perla Ortal, Norma Fernandez, Virginia Fernandez and Cesar Fernandez.
