He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar Waite and Lucille Baxter Waite; his sons, Jacob and Devon Thomas; and his brothers, Richard and Sheldon.
He is survived by: his children, Laurie Waite Flores of Hau'ula, Maria Mahana Nobre of Mountain View, Merlin Paul (Maria Kina) of Hau'ula, Hawaii, Monte D (Jean) of Bothell, Washington, Delmar McKay (Fran) of Lanai City and John Tuione-Tevita (Hiromi) of Herndon, Virginia.; and his sister Bonnie Louise Thurston of Carlsbad, California.. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
