He is survived by: his fiancée Vanessa Sarme of Keaau; his children, Skyler Raymond-Shin (Mahealani) of Haleiwa, Oahu, Quinton Raymond-Shin (Noelani) of Hilo, Tristyn Andrade (Prince White) of Hilo, Kingston Zhane Sarme Shin of Keaau and Khenin (Sarme Shin); his mother Faith Shin of Kaiwiki; and his siblings, Branden Shin of Honaunau, Cheryl Okinaka (Darwin) of Hilo, Kalani Shin (Shanda) of Kaiwiki and Darren "Kalua" Cho (Nobilee) of Kona. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a cook for Waiakea Intermediate School, previously at Hilo High School and attended Sure Foundation Puna.
