He is survived by: his wife Lisa Makekau of Keaau; his sons, Ryler Makekau of Mountain View and Isaiah Tao (Ahlan Cox) of Keaau; his stepson Tyler Tsunezumi of Las Vegas, Nevada; his sister Audrey Meyers of Hilo; his parents-in-law, Francis and Grace Tsunezumi of Hilo; and his brother-in-law Neal Tsunezumi of Hilo. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.
