She is survived by: her children, Michael Tanabe (Nina), Joel Tanabe (Donna) of Hilo, Gail Tomosawa (Gerald) of Mililani, Oahu and Gwen Narimatsu (Eugene) of Hilo; and her sister Kikue Akiyama of Honolulu. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandsons, numerous nieces and nephews.
