He is survived by: his wife Maile; his children, Dustin, Elizabeth and James; his parents, James Gatti and Carol Gatti; and his siblings, Theresa Boring, Julie Brumley and John Gatti.

He played hockey at the Ice Palace on Oahu for nearly 20 years, his amateur "career" stopped only by the Covid-19 shutdown.
