He is survived by: his wife Annabelle Francisco Kahanu; his children, Henry Kahanu (Jefferina), Michael Kahanu (Karen), Kimberly Sizelove (John) and Trina Kahanu; and his siblings, David Kahanu, Natalie Flattes and Jack Uaiwa. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
