He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard "Barney" Waber and Madora "Betty" Matter; and his siblings, Cynthia "Cyndi" Matter (Waber) and Daniel "Danny" Matter. He is survived by: his sons, Joseph Matter of Oregon and Austin Maki of Washington; his former wife Eileen Maki of Washington; and his siblings, Judy of Nevada, Sam Yee of Nevada, Linda of Nevada, Dr. Stephen Chenin of Nevada, Deanna of Nevada, Jeff Buttaccio of Nevada, Debora Matter of Nevada, Bernard "Barney" Matter of Michigan, Lori Hall of Illinois and Tamara "Tammy" Matter of Hawaii. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
