Honma of Kamuela, Hawaii, born in Honokaa, Hawaii, who passed away on March 20, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Elaine leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Elaine may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She is survived by: her sons, Craig Honma (Yong) of Honolulu and Karl Honma (Elsa) of Pennsylvania; and her sisters, Setsuko Ota of Honolulu and Jeanette Horii of California. She is also survived by four grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Kamuela Hongwanji Mission (65-1110 Mamalahoa Hwy, Waimea, HI 96743). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
