He is survived by: his parents, Ron Benson and Judy Benson of Sioux Falls, SD; his sister Kristen Longway (James); his nephews, Christopher and Cameron; his niece Madelyn Longway of Stillwater, MN.; his aunts and uncles, Dr Warren (Jan Opheim), Carol Opheim, Linda (Al Carlson), Roger Benson, Arlyce Benson and Dennis (Pam Benson); and his cousins, Toby, Michele Benson, Treva, Andy Bastyr, Kai, Bridget Maurud, Aaron, Lacey Benson, Brett, Molly Benson, Corey, Mary Benson and Sylvia Welykholowa.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls, Area Humane Society and Feeding South Dakota.
