She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas F. Glover, Sr. and Wilda Neal Hamilton (San Diego); her former husband R. T. "Doc" Halliday; and her siblings, Marian Glover Lacey, Olivia Flunder, Silas Glover, Jr. and Larry Hamilton.
She is survived by: her husband Theodore Payton, Jr.; her aunt Mamie Bramlett; her children, Mark Costa (Hanai), Francine Jackson, Kathy Simmons, Wilda Payton and Richard Payton of Phoenix, AZ; her stepdaughter Phillis Grant of Fairbanks, AK; and her siblings, Judge Don Glover of Dermott, Arkansas, Barbara Littlejohn (Michael) of Lansing, MI, Esther Fahm (Tunde) of Menomonie, WI and Carlotta Hallamon (Terence) of West Bloomfield, MI. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her civic and community services were diverse and long-term, including as one of the founding members of the Martin Luther King, Jr Day Kona Community Annual Celebration Committee in 1982, participating in the "Walk for Literacy", volunteering with the AARP, the RSVP, the Kona Palisades Neighborhood Watch, and the Kona Ironman Triathlon 42 times.
