He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvel Bean and Evelyn Bean; and his wife Mary Lou Gouveia Bean. He is survived by: his children, Emilou Alves (Vince) of Waikapu, Maui, George Bean of Lake Elsinore, Charles Bean (Traci) of Wailuku and Ross Bean (Christine) of Holualoa, Kona.; his grandchildren, Brandon (Candice), Hoikaika (Mahealani), Haunani, Hookahi (Olivia), Kaiohu (Alexa), Kellen, Kendra, Cody (Annette), Malia (Cory), Taryn (Pasha) and Dannielle (Bobby); and his great grandchildren, Makana, Lily, Lokelani, Kukui, Kaiohu, Kamaile, Kalilinoe, Kealii, Loea, Lahela, Waiapo, Kyra, Ziggy, Kauila, Kealaula, Mila, Kiana, Bowie, Corrina, Alexandra, Chase, Walker and Jordan.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (230 Kalani St, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740). A burial will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Kona Memorial Park (75-5553 Mamalahoa Hwy, Holualoa, HI 96725).
