He is survived by: his sons, Herbert Paleka, III (Melia) of Kailua Kona and Mo'ikeha Paleka (Pua) of Waipio, Oahu; and his sister Irma (Aikala). He is also survived by three grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
