He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandparents, Damien, Marie Place (Kaui), Edward and Catherine Espiritu (Nani); his parents, Stephen R. I. Place (Molokai) and Edwardlynn Ka'ano (Edlynn); his sister Rodlyn D. I. Muro (Art) of New Mexico; his daughter Angel Anale; his partner LolaMae Lara; his sons, Ka'ea Kukuiokalaninalei, Kawehikamanaokalani Lara-Dutro of Maui, Baby Girl and Ehulani Dream Place; and his nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Lehi, Samuel Hulu (Muro) and Na'auali.
