He was predeceased by: his wife Edith; and his brothers, Yoshio, Masao, Saburo, Sabuji, Shigeo and Tomio.
He is survived by: his children, Lee Ann Kapaku (Llewellyn) of Kula, Lori Tsuhako of Kihei, Rance Tsuhako (Anne) of Stockton and Ken Tsuhako (Cynthia) of Wailuku; his grandchildren, Lauren Kapaku Dobashi, Emily, Ethan and Cameron Tsuhako; and his great grandchild Kealamakia Kapaku.
