He was predeceased by: his parents, Serapio Briones and Cleotilia Quiocho Briones; his brother Rodrigo Briones; and his son Jonathan Hashimura. He is survived by: his children, Jeffery Hashimura, Patrick Hashimura, John Briones, Jr. (Wanda Barbosa), Steven Briones (Tina), Glynnis Hashimura, Carmela Hashimura, Lisa Briones (David Willis), Angela Briones (Wilson Kanakaole), Christina Rosete (Presco) and Sherrylee Watanabe (Michael); and his siblings, Alfredo Briones (Cecilia), Marie Zarrella, Linda Floyd and Beverly Lashley. He is also survived by numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
