With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jane Hisae Calhoun of Kahului, Hawaii, born in Puunene, Hawaii, who passed away on October 24, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ichiso Nishihara and Mitsuyo Nishihara; and her siblings, Lillian Sadako Watanabe, Kazuo Nishihara, Shigeo Nishihara, Sue Sumie Kobayashi, Carol Yaeko Stuessy and Alvin Mitsuo Nishihara.
She is survived by: her caregiver Deena; her children, Alan Calhoun (Debbie), Roger Calhoun, Tom Calhoun, Philip Calhoun (Karen) and Carol Tsekouras (Andreas); and her sister-in-law Anna Nishihara. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
