We are sad to announce that on December 24, 2024, at the age of 83, Gilbert Yasumi Shibao in Kahului, Hawaii passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Gilbert is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Gilbert's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Yasuto Shibao and Sugi Shibao. He is survived by: his wife Beatrice "Bea" Billianor Shibao; his sons, Gilbert "Gary Boy" Shibao (Stacey) and Terry "Terry Boy" Shibao (Cynthia "Cydd"); his grandchildren, Abcde Rosa (Corey), Kekaulike Shibao, Jordan Shibao (Clarissa), Samantha Shibao and Carter Shibao; and his great grandchildren, Akshen Rosa and Rowdy Rosa. He is also survived by his children, grand-children, and many nieces and nephews.
