He is survived by: his wife Carole Chai; his children, Jason Chai (Dolly Hinau), Lori Chai Fernandez (Jamie Fernandez) and Derrick Chai (Michelle Reyes-Chai); his grandchildren, Kylyn Fernandez, Javan Fernandez, Taytum Chai and Caleb Chai; his brothers, Norman Chai (Elizabeth) and Richard Chai (Beverly Jean); and his siblings-in-law, James Richardson (Mija), Glenn Richardson (Pauline), Jeffrey Richardson (Loretta), Aileen Morita, Karen Kealoha and Lillian Ines. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
