She was predeceased by: her parents, Donato Fuerte and Marcelina Fuerte (Valenzuela). She is survived by: her children, Ricarte Gutierrez, Jr., Carmensita Gutierrez-Chandler (Philip) and Ben Gutierrez (Christopher Korsak). She is also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and dozens of nieces and nephews.
