He is survived by: his wife Loretta S. Embernate of Honokaa; his children, Lorrie A. Akina Ferguson (Theodore) of Honokaa and Scott J. Embernate (Hattie) of Hilo; his granddaughters, Blair Kalehua Aleka Embernate, Brooke Pua and Akina; his great grandchild Johnanna-Lynn Akina-Cosare of Honokaa; his siblings, Robert Embernate, Sr. (Julie) of Honokaa, Rodolph "Rudy" Embernate, Franklin Embernate (Leilani) of Kailua-Kona and Linda Lou Takamine (Kazu) of Honokaa; and his siblings-in-law, Geraldine Embernate of Hilo and Benjamin Ballesteros of Paauhau. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
