He was predeceased by: his wife Ronette Obrey; and his siblings, Ronald Obrey, Alice McNamara, Rita Roberts and Irene Stone.
He is survived by: his children, Travis Obrey of Hōlualoa, Mahealani Schuckert of Seattle, Washington, Kekumaielani Obrey of Kailua-Kona and Ashley Obrey (Tracy Epstein) of Hōlualoa; and his brother Stanley Obrey (Peggy) of Trinidad, Colorado. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
